Quick Tip
Before you write your next email, presentation, book, or anything else, set a clear intention.
Use my Feel Know Do
framework.
Ask yourself:
Feel
What do I want my reader to feel?
Know
What do I want my reader to know?
Do
What do I want my reader to do?
Example
You're a personal trainer and want to fill your client docket. You’re writing a newsletter to your subscribers.
You want people to feel hopeful.
You want people to know that it's never too late to become an athlete.
What you want people to do is book a consultation to discuss your services.
With this Feel Know Do in mind, you decide to write a story about your 75-year-old client who began swimming 10 minutes a day, then 15, then 20. Now at 77, she's in the pool for an hour a day. She has more energy, less stiffness,
and feels better than she has in a long time.
You add a glowing testimonial from this client and a link to book a consultation. Your readers are so inspired! Before long, your client docket is full.
