Quick Tip
You're writing an email or newsletter.
You want to come up with an exciting subject line that will inspire people to open your
message.
What should you say?
There are thousands of ways to craft an enticing subject line. One option is to include a question.
Examples:
Subject:
Could I get your advice on this?
Subject: Want a complimentary makeover?
Subject: Want to be featured in my next book?
Subject: What's your #1 question about [menopause / investing / college admissions / mental health / insert your subject matter here]?
Subject: Want to do something a little scary with me?
Subject: Would you like a free coaching session?
Subject: Have you tried this?
Subject: Want to see the 50-word email that led to $50k?
Subject: Thinking about selling your home?
Subject: Free this Friday for a quick chat?
Subject: Want to spend New Year’s Day in Hawaii?
It doesn’t have to be a "yes" or "no" question. It
could be a different type of question, like one of these:
Subject: Has this ever happened to you?
Subject: How do you want your kids to remember you?
Subject: How would your life be different if you were debt-free?
Subject: Which do you like better: A or B?
Subject: If you had 24 hours to live, what would you do?
