Hello, friends!
It’s not always easy to be an introvert “in a world that can’t stop talking,” as author Susan Cain eloquently puts it.
Nonetheless, I love the fact that I'm an introvert.
I believe introversion is one of my strengths, not a disadvantage.
As a self-employed professional (I write and edit books for a living, lead writing retreats, co-founded a bookstore, and occasionally take on copywriting projects for certain brands) I’ve had to find creative ways to bring clients in the door ... without going to a zillion
events, being online 24/7, or running myself ragged from too much socializing.
I’ve been self-employed for 15 years. After much trial and error, I’ve figured out strategies that energize me rather than draining my tank.
I wrote an article called "How I Find Clients As An Introvert." Take a look!
I share what works best for me, what doesn't, and how my approach to business and marketing has shifted since becoming a mom.
I hope this article gives you permission to simplify, do less,
and focus on what really moves the needle in your career or business, rather than exhausting yourself doing "all the things."
xo.
