Oh, it's a very good day.

Today is a very good day... for so many reasons!

For starters...

- I spontaneously decided to give away an engagement ring to a total stranger. We're meeting in less than an hour. I'll tell you the whole story, later.

- I revamped my Shop and it's 10x awesomer, now. Some new treats in there, too. Plus free workbooks! Enjoy to the max.

- Today is the winter solstice! (I have a splendid solstice shrub.)

I hope you are having a delightful day, too.

A few things to read & do on this cozy Sunday afternoon...

- Good Question: How can I get back in touch with my sexy, sensual side? (It's the latest installment of my advice column. You guys ask the best questions!)

- Know someone who needs a lift? Send them: The World of Possibility Card. (They'll probably cry. In a happy, grateful way.)

- My tips on how to write a surprisingly cool "out of office" email auto-responder for the holiday season, or anytime at all. (Because "I will reply next Monday upon my return" is just so... blah.)

- How to say "no" when a colleague asks for a big favor. (If you dig this, check out my communication handbook, How To Say NO, Nicely. It's right over here.)

- Want more? Here's a list of (just about) everything I've ever written. Definitely my favorite feature on my new website!

Thanks for reading & exploring.

To seal up today's newsletter, a personal story:

I have been feeling kinda "down" this whole week. Slightly overwhelmed and isolated. Sluggish. Sleepy.

Today -- when I decided to give away a ring I've been holding onto, unnecessarily, for ten years -- my heart opened up again. I feel incredibly energized. I feel so powerful, too. I remember, now, that I have the power to dramatically transform someone's entire day, month, year, or life... simply by choosing to do so. We all have that kind of power. We just... forget.

Whose life could you transform today... with a post, a text, a call, an expression of compassion, a gift, or the greatest gift of all: a few moments of your undivided, tech-free attention?

Do it. Give it. Don't hold back.

Love,

-Alex

PPS. Flllashback! Nelly singing "Country Grammar." Classic, raunchy hip hop amazingness. This came on the radio last night and I couldn't stop shimmying. Boom, boom, baby!
