The joy of finishing, Robert Frost, big moons, and tiny cakes.

Hey friends...

Tomorrow I'm embarking on a solo road trip through Idaho and Montana.

It's been a beautiful but rather cluttered-feeling month, and I'm looking forward to seven beautiful, open, free-wheeling days. Lots of space and time to finish up a few lingering client projects, firm up my plans for the rest of the year, hike, bike, and tromp around in my favorite pair of red cowboy boots. Sometimes, you've just got to hit the wide open road, you know? Off I go...

Tomorrow also marks a super moon eclipsea rare event that won't occur again for a very long time.

Astrologers say it's a time for bold moves and fiery actionincluding burning (literally or metaphorically) whatever you don't need anymore. What's it going to be? Will you drop an unhealthy habit? De-clutter your kitchen? Break up with a guy, a girl, or an attitude that's holding you back? Delete the insanity-pile of emails in your inbox? Unsubscribe from this newsletter? (Honestly, I won't be offended! Burn, baby, burn!)

This quote feels appropriate for the fiery eclipse:

"Freedom lies in being bold." Robert Frost

Interestingly, quite a few of my recent articles have to do with the theme of "taking bold, decisive action." That wasn't intentional. Or maybe it's the moon? Maybe there are no accidents. We're all made from stardust, after all.

On that note...

Here are a few recent articles & projects that you might enjoy:

- Are you starting to map out your goals for next year? Or trying to figure out what to focus on for the rest of this year? I've got a neat workbook that might help you to organize your ideas, write down your priorities, and be true to your word. The workbook is called Commitment. It's free. You'll find it in my Shop. Just scroll down a bit and you'll spot it. Enjoy.

- My client Susan Hyatta life coach, business coach, and all-around cool chickhas a new podcast called GO! Short, encouraging audio pep talkson all kinds of topicsto inspire you to charge into your day feeling strong and brave. She's done 14 episodes so far. Here's the most recent one. I seriously love these.

. . .

Last but not least...

- My sweetheart, Brandon, is pursuing his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. He's a pastry chef and sugar-genius and his company, HunnyMilk, is officially open for business. Read the story of how it all started here. If you're based in Portland, Oregon, swing by one of his events and sample his gourmet ice cream cones, tiny cakes, cookies and more. I will be there, at every event, scooping ice cream, swiping credit cards and helping him out. Sugar fiends: unite! See you there!

. . .

That's all for today.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, in all its lunar glory.

Whether you're hitting the open road, like me, or staying close to home, I hope the rest of September feels like a tremendous adventure.

Love,

-Alex

PS. Have you ever seen the movie Moon...? It's haunting and beautiful. The soundtrack—by composer Clint Mansell—is eerie and amazing. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. You can preview it here.

PPS. I also really love Beyoncé's new track. Like A LOT.
