What do you believe?
What do you stand for?
What type of world do
you dream about living in?
What type of contribution do you feel called to make?
Writing a “manifesto” can help you clarify your answers to these big questions... and many others.
If you’ve never written
a manifesto before — for yourself, for your business, for a project, community, or cause — I encourage you to give it a try!
— Yesterday, I posted a new article about how to write a manifesto. It has a very simple 3-line template that will (hopefully) help you to put your thoughts and feelings into words. Here it is! I hope you enjoy it.
– If reading that article gave you manifesto-fever, here are 5 more
tips on how to write an inspiring manifesto.
– If you feel inspired to do some writing this week (but not necessarily a manifesto) here are 5 questions to ask yourself on New Year’s Day… or any day.
– If “blogging a lot!” is one of your resolutions for 2016, here are 88 prompts to help you figure out what to blog about.
– If “not blogging!” is one of your resolutions for 2016, here are 35 things that you can do other than starting a blog.
– If “lack of time” is an obstacle for you when it comes to writing and other creative projects, here are 7 mini writing projects
that you can realistically finish in a single day. (Most of these can be completed in 10 – 20 minutes.)
– If you’re feeling overwhelmed by bloggy things, social media, smartphone games, emails and newsletters — including this one — please feel free to deactivate your profiles, unsubscribe from everything, and re-design your life so that it feeds your spirit. You only get one life, after all. It’s
all yours and it’s precious. What could you adjust to create more satisfaction... and less regret?
I am sending many hugs, blessings, and good vibes to you on this final day of the year — or first day of the year if you’re based on the other side of the world [*waving hello to Australia & New Zealand*]
As for me… I
have a few unfinished client projects to wrap up over the next couple of days and then I am taking an ENTIRE MONTH (!!!) all for myself — with no appointments, phone calls, or any other work-related commitments on my calendar — just to focus on finishing up my next book, TODAY IS NOT OVER YET. I don’t think I’ve ever carved out a whole month completely just for “myself” and my own personal art projects — it feels very indulgent and exciting — and I can’t wait to see what unfolds!
Farewell
until next year... and...
