If you could really use a "pep talk" right now...

Published: Thu, 09/07/17

If you're struggling right now... if you're feeling scared... if you're facing a challenge of any variety, of any size... I am sending strength to you.

Maybe the court date is approaching and you have to face him... again.

Maybe the test results haven't come back yet and you're waiting in the agonizing middle-place of not knowing.

Maybe that irresponsible decision that you made 5 years ago has come back to haunt you, and the consequences are severe, and the shame feels overwhelming, and you don't know how to forgive yourself.

Maybe it feels like a nightmarish beast is looming at your door, claws scratching at the handle, and nowhere feels safe, and you just can't bear the stress anymore.

Whatever's going on in your life right now, please remember that there are so many people—nurses, counselors, firefighters, volunteers on 24/7 hotlines—who care about you, and who are ready and willing to help you.

I'm here to help, too. If you're having a tough week, please send an email to hello@alexandrafranzen.com and say, "Hey, I could use a pep talk." I will record an audio message with some words of encouragement and send it to you. Totally free, of course. It would be my honor. I hope it lifts your spirits, even just a tiny bit.

And if you're not having a tough week, if you're feeling pretty great these days, that's awesome. Consider sending some strength and love (maybe in the form of flowers, a voicemail, or a hug) to someone who is struggling. It will make such a difference. Possibly, a much bigger difference than you realize. Sometimes, the smallest gesture of compassion can change someone's entire day, week, or life.

We're all walking this earth together. Let's show up for each other.

PPS. I love this quote: "No act of love, however small, is ever wasted." Aesop

PPPS. To my dear friends who are dealing with incredible stress and hardship this week—there are several of you, you know who you are—this newsletter is dedicated to you. I love you. You're brave. And you're going to survive.
