Hi, Portland friends!

I'm thrilled to announce that the book release party for You're Going to Survive is happening on January 30th. And of course, you're invited! All the info is down below. I hope to see you there!

YOU'RE GOING TO SURVIVE
Book Release Party

LOCATION

1338 NW 23rd Ave. Portland, OR 97210
Tuesday, January 30, 2018
7 - 8:30 pm

RSVP

Please RSVP by calling 503-224-4929. Or, you can just show up on the night of the event.

It's $15 to attend this event. 100% of your payment goes to support New Renaissance, an independent bookshop that's dedicated to promoting "unconditional love," "tolerance and respect," and an "uplifting environment" for the community.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

- I'll read a few stories from the book—stories about criticism, rejection, discouragement, online bullies, hysterical clients, and other stressful situations, and how to get through it.

- I'll talk about the unpleasant incident that inspired this book project... and how I ended up getting a publishing deal (after getting 20 rejections, first)... and other behind-the-scenes tidbits.

- I'll do my best to leave you feeling comforted and uplifted. I want you to march out of that bookstore knowing, "No matter what happens in my life (or career) in 2018, I'm going to be OK. I'm strong. I'm going to survive."

- Hugs, coffee, and Toadstool cupcakes (the BEST cupcakes in the world, seriously) will be provided.

SEE YOU AT THE PARTY!

Hooray for books... and kind people... and getting together in "real life" without a digital screen between us!

This will be such a beautiful night. I hope to see you there!

Love,

-Alex

PS. I've been listening to this Jazz Vibes playlist all week. So mellow and relaxing.

PPS. I made a You're Going to Survive music playlist and a mini-audiobook for you. They're both totally free. Enjoy!

PPPS. If you're wondering, "Will you be coming to LA - NYC - {insert city here} - for a book event later this year?" The answer is: "Possibly!" My publisher is working on lining up a few more dates. Once things are confirmed, I'll announce everything on my website and via email. Thank you so much!
