Today Is Not Over Yet [Free audiobook for you]

Published: Sun, 02/25/18

Hello, friends...

My heart feels heavy this month because of bullets, news headlines, children dying for no reason, and a general sense of despair about the human race. Despair, mixed with hope.

Maybe you can relate.

Joan Baez once said that "action is the antidote to despair." And so, I'm trying to harness my anger and channel it into action. Writing. Making art. Donating. Helping. Trying to "add" to the amount of love in the world, rather than "subtracting."

A couple days ago, I went to Falcon Studios in Portland and spontaneously recorded an audiobook for you. It's called Today Is Not Over Yet. It's a quick listen, just 30 minutes long. It's free. You can listen here: http://bit.ly/today-is-not-over-yet

If you're having "one of those days" when nothing's going quite right... if you're feeling discouraged, anxious, unfocused... or just feeling "blah" for no particular reason at all... this audiobook is for you.

It's never too late to turn things around.

It's never too late to begin a new project—or change an old habit.

It's never too late to create a better life for yourself. To create a better world. There's still time. There's still hope.

Whether it's 5am in the morning when you're seeing this, or 5pm at night, or 11:55pm at night, today is not over yet.

PS. If you enjoy listening to Today Is Not Over Yet, then you might enjoy this free audiobook, too.

PPS. I made a new music playlist filled with dramatic, intense, emotional music. Because sometimes you just need to listen to sad French songs (or sing-along to a Broadway show tune) and feel... all the feelings.

PPPS. Did you know... you can mail a letter expressing compassion, solidarity, and support to the students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School—survivors of the horrific shooting. Don't have any envelopes or stamps? Visit this website. You can type in a message, pay two dollars, and your message will be handwritten onto a card and mailed on your behalf. Here is a similar service. And here's another one. Such a simple way to send some extra love into the world. Why not send a card today? There's plenty of time to do it. Today is not over yet.
