Tomorrow, we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States.
If you're spending Thanksgiving with your loved ones—and if you're looking for a fun activity that everyone can do together—here's a suggestion:
* Check out this list: "100 questions to spark conversations."
* Pick a question and read it aloud.
* Take turns going around the table and answering the question.
* Fascinating revelations and weird, wonderful stories will tumble forth.
* You'll learn things about one another that you didn't know before.
* Then pick another question and... repeat!
* If you have a printer, you can print out the list, cut up the paper, and put all the questions into a bowl. Then people can take turns pulling questions one by one. So fun.
I loved making that list of 100 questions for you! I hope you enjoy it. I actually made that list several years ago, but I keep returning to it and using it over and over, year after year. I hope it brings joy—and interesting conversations—into your home, too.
Happy Thanksgiving.
If it's been a tough year for you, then I hope tomorrow brings a few hours of rest, relief, and comfort into your life. A little light and hope in the midst of the dark. I'm sending strength to you.
Love,
-Alex
PS. I made a Thanksgiving music playlist with lots of folk, country, soul, and a little bit of eclectic randomness, too. Over 3 hours of music. Leonard Cohen. Gillian Welch. Arno Elias. Seinabo
Sey. James Taylor. Tegan and Sara. First Aid Kit. Sade. And more. Here it is. Enjoy!
PPS. This makes me laugh harder than... maybe anything ever.
