Oh heyyy!
I'm writing this email from...the hair salon! Haha. Multi-tasking. Beautiful blue-teal-mermaid waves of color are currently being swirled into my hair. Very exciting. :)
Two quick things I wanted to mention today...
1. Want to enter the checklist contest? You've still got time!
- Deadline to enter the contest has been extended until Thursday, January 30, 2020.
- This is a simple, fun contest with seriously awesome prizes.
- It's really easy to enter. All you need to do is make a checklist. Any kind of checklist.
- Make a daily checklist, annual checklist, self-care checklist, launch-your-business checklist, dream-weekend checklist, before-I-die-bucket-list checklist. Any kind you want.
- One person wins the grand prize: an all-expenses-paid trip to Hawaii. Whoa.
- This contest is open to all ages, all humans, all countries, anywhere in the world. Go for it!
. . .
2. *Free* class about how to write a book proposal—and get a book deal.
- It's happening soon! Friday, January 24, 2020.
- Start time: 11 am Hawaii / 1 pm Pacific / 2 pm Mountain / 3 pm Central / 4 pm Eastern.
- Duration: 60 minutes. Live-streaming video.
- A downloadable book proposal template will be provided to you.
If you dream about writing a book one day...and if you're curious to learn more about the book publishing industry and how it works...you'll get a lot out of this class. I'm co-teaching this class along with my friend Lindsey. She's awesome. You'll love her.
. . .
Okay, that's all for today! Please have a peaceful, beautiful week.
Make lists. Make art. Make books. Make out. Hahaaa. Make time for your health. Make exciting decisions. Make it all happen. And maybe, at some point today, take one minute of silence and do absolutely nothing at all.
See you soon!
-Alex
PS. If you're wondering, "May I share info about the checklist contest—and book proposal class—with my friends?" The answer is: Of course! Go for it. Share with friends, colleagues, clients, students, anyone, anywhere you want. Thank you!
PPPPS. Call your mom today. (Or someone who feels like a "mom" to you.) She misses you. xo.
