Why bother writing a book?
(For that matter, why bother making a podcast? Why bother composing music? Why bother teaching a class? Why bother doing any kind of project? Why bother making the effort? Why bother creating anything, really?)
1. Because...your project might help one human being to feel less alone, feel hopeful and inspired, and have a better day. And helping one person is a big deal.
2. Because...your project might change someone’s life. Or even save a life. (You never know how many people your book will reach, or how your words will impact their heart.)
3. Because...there are voices in your head that say, “You can’t do this,” “This is stupid,” “Nobody will care about this,” “You don’t matter.” And you don’t want to let those voices win.
4. Because...you don’t want to reach the end of your life with goals unrealized, and dreams unwritten.
5. Because...writing a book can unlock the door to exciting things, like new clients, media opportunities, speaking engagements, handwritten fan mail from a teenager who lives across the world, nominations, awards, and total surprises that you never saw coming.
6. Because...maybe something painful happened to you, and you want to create meaning out of the experience, and share what you learned, so that others can heal too.
7. Because...your kids and grandkids will love reading what you wrote 50 years from now when you’re no longer here. A piece of your heart, and your voice, remaining with them, always
8. Because...you want to make beautiful things instead of making excuses.
9. Because...you want to create something purely just for the joy of creating something.
10. Because...you want to dedicate the book to your mom, show her, and see her happy tears.
11. Because...you just want to. Period. No other reason is required.
If you've already signed up, that is so exciting! OMB (Oh My Book!). See you soon!
If you haven't signed up yet, and you want to, do that here.
We show you how to write and self-publish a short book.
You can choose the Classic level (watch tutorials, follow-along at home, email us whenever you need help) or the VIP level (which includes professional copyediting, proofreading, interior and cover design, done for you).
It will feel so good to finish 2020 (an absolutely crazy, bonkers, stressful year) feeling strong, feeling accomplished, holding a book in your hands. A book that you wrote. With your own mighty heart and brain. A goal: achieved. What better way to end the year?
See you in the course!

PPS. Lots of free resources on how to write effectively, set goals, complete projects, and get important things done...here.
PPPPS. I don't know who needs to hear this today...but...that little voice inside that tells you, "You never finish anything," "You're lazy," "You're so disorganized," "You'll never create anything worthwhile or beautiful"...that voice is not your friend. And that voice is not the truth. You can. You will. And today is not over yet.
