True story.
I have a client who does voice-over work for cartoons and commercials.
She dreamed about signing a contract with a major talent agent who could represent her.
She emailed the agency to submit her work for consideration.
She didn’t hear anything back.
She figured, “Oh well. I guess they’re not interested.”
But then, a few months later, she figured, “Well, I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to email them one more time. I’ll send a quick follow-up note to check in.”
She emailed again and included some of her newer, more recent work.
They wrote back.
They were very interested.
They offered her a contract which she joyfully signed.
A lifelong dream—come true.
Moral of the story:
One well-written email can change your life.
And, if they don’t reply at first, don’t give up.
Reach out again.
It never hurts to try.
Who knows where one email could lead?
-Alex
